Despite the name, the filter has no relation with the Pixar Studios.
The Snapchat app allows you to take photos and record videos with the Disney style cartoon filter straight from the app camera and it works in the Android and iOS (iPhone) systems.
You can also apply the effect in photos that are on your smartphone gallery.
After applying the effect, you can download the image or video turned into cartoon to your cellphone and, then, publish your creation on Instagram and/or TikTok.

First you have to have the Snapchat app downloaded on your cellphone.
In case you don’t, access the app store on your smartphone, search for the app and download it.
After that, create your account to have access to the Snapchat effects.
Once you have finished, move on to the step by step to apply the Pixar effect on your images.
Step 1. Open Snapchat and select the emoji icon, located in the bottom right corner of the screen, to access the filter page.
Then, choose the “Explore” option to open the entire effects catalogue;
Step 2. Search for the “Pixar” effect and select the option named “Cartoon 3D Style”.
The effect will be opened and immediately applied to the camera.
Then, you should press the capture button to start recording your video;
Step 3. After you finish recording, touch in “Send to”
The recorded video will be published on your Snapchat.
In case you don’t want to publish it, you can select the download item to download the file to your cellphone gallery;
Step 4. To publish the video on your Instagram Stories, you just have to access the app and click on your profile picture or in the add stories button.
Touch the images icon and find the file you have just downloaded from Snapchat on your gallery.
Finally, you just have to edit and publish the video.
